Transformative learning for global leadership
Economic transformations, disruptive technologies, changes to traditional business models, global demographic shifts, growing demands for renewable energy — these are just some of the factors impacting how business is done. The global business environment is a complex web of cultural, legal, economic and social forces that requires a connected network to navigate uncertainty, foster innovation and drive sustainable growth across borders.
An interconnected world also demands business leaders who can harness the collective mind, and what better way to learn than through immersive, cross-cultural experiences that challenge perspectives and expand possibilities?
Are you ready to transform your career?

EMBA connections often evolve into lasting collaborations, opening doors to new markets and innovative strategies.
Build your global network through collaborative learning
Global Network Week is a signature experience that brings together more than 400 Kellogg EMBA students from partner schools around the world. A catalyst for transformation, business leaders immerse themselves in an intensive weeklong learning environment, exploring business challenges through a global lens while building international connections.
Engaging in dynamic discussions, courses like Negotiations Strategies push EMBA students to think critically and connect deeply with one another for win-win solutions, moving beyond conflict and toward mutually beneficial agreements. Outside of academic enrichment, the Global Network experience offers career panels, networking opportunities and social gatherings to expand your professional world.
The EMBA program’s emphasis on shared experience as a bridge to global learning highlights the importance of fostering a deeper understanding of our interconnected world. As leaders increasingly engage with individuals who see the world through different lenses and approach challenges in diverse ways, becoming a more effective business leader means learning to speak the language of varied functions, cultures and perspectives.
The EMBA Global Electives offer a transformative learning experience that extends far beyond the classroom. These immersive courses are offered in vibrant business hubs such as Lisbon, Shanghai and Germany, allowing students to study global markets up close while gaining firsthand insights from local faculty with deep expertise in regional industries. With courses like Unlocking Executive & Enterprise Value with Generative AI and Deal Making in China and Asia, EMBA students gain the strategic insights and practical experience to lead transformative initiatives, navigate complex global transactions and harness emerging technologies to help drive innovation.
“The choice of electives makes it easy to tailor your experience. I was drawn to marketing because I found it challenging and wanted to truly understand it. What stood out most was the professor, who created a space where it was okay to fail publicly. That openness helped us embrace the learning curve,” says Jonathn Rioux ’26 Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA. “In business, there’s often pressure to perform well immediately, but real growth starts when you're allowed to put on your training wheels and learn through experience.”
Learning from leading industry experts
The Kellogg EMBA program encourages leaders not only to absorb best practices but to challenge assumptions and unlock new ways of thinking.
Globally recognized scholar Mohan Sawhney empowers executives to rethink the status quo. “One concept that consistently shifts executive thinking is busting orthodoxies — deeply held beliefs like ‘this is how we do things.’ These assumptions often go unquestioned, even when the environment changes,” explains Professor Sawhney. “In class, I help students identify these beliefs and ask, ‘What if the opposite were true?’ Many discover that ideas like ‘features equal revenue’ or ‘always strive for perfection’ can be limiting. By challenging these norms, executives unlock fresh thinking and new paths for innovation and strategic change.”
The global network at Kellogg is a career power move — a strategic advantage that prepares leaders not just to adapt but to shape the future. Learn more about Executive MBA program’s dynamic Global Network.
