Kellogg leaders in action

Recipients of the Kellogg Alumni Awards live out the school’s values in their professional and philanthropic pursuits. They are notable leaders around the world who represent a variety of industries.  

Each year, the Wade Fetzer Award recognizes an individual for their outstanding dedication and loyalty in support of the Kellogg alumni community. The Schaffner Award honors an alumnus for exemplifying Kellogg values through significant contributions to society. The Distinguished Alumni Service Award celebrates those who help shape Kellogg’s strategy, culture and brand while effectively leading organizations.

In 2025, Kellogg introduced the Young Alumni Award to honor individuals who have made an impact on the Kellogg alumni community and demonstrated exceptional leadership within 10 years of graduation.  

Shaun Finnie ’95 MBA, Wade Fetzer Award

Shaun is a true Kellogg ambassador who has spent the last 30 years supporting the development of students and alumni from the Kellogg and Northwestern communities. From recruiting Kellogg grads to join him at Evercore to facilitating alumni connections across industries, Shaun inspires future generations to uphold the Kellogg spirit.

Wendy Abrams ’90 MBA, Schaffner Award

Driven by a commitment to future generations, Wendy has made significant strides in her career as a climate activist. Through her efforts with the Eleven Eleven Foundation and the Abrams Climate Academy at Kellogg, she has championed innovative solutions to combat climate change and educate future business leaders on environmental sustainability.

Salman Amin ’85 MBA, Distinguished Alumni Service Award

Salman’s belief that leadership is a perpetual journey has helped him transform global brands for more than 40 years at SC Johnson, PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble and Pladis. His commitment to compassion, innovation and teamwork has repeatedly proven effective and reinforced Kellogg’s high-empathy approach to management.

Tobenna Egwu ’20 MBA, Young Alumni Award

Tobenna is the inaugural recipient of the Young Alumni Award. Her dynamic personality and leadership skills promise to make a lasting impact on the alumni community.
