11/2/2011 - Students, faculty, staff and alumni are gearing up for a Kellogg School tradition slated for this weekend: the ninth annual Kellogg Cares, a community service day in Evanston and Chicago.

The event is an opportunity for the school to give back to the community, and takes place Saturday, Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers will participate in a variety of activities for local social enterprises and nonprofit groups. Activities will include:

  • helping nonprofits with maintenance projects, including cleaning, gardening and painting
  • teaching business and life skills to middle-school kids and teenagers
  • preparing and serving meals at the Ronald McDonald House
