On-campus housing: McManus Center
The McManus Center is a seven-story apartment complex designed to suit the needs of Kellogg students, their partners, and families. Conveniently located in downtown Evanston near restaurants, banks, stores, and public transportation, McManus is a ten-minute walk from the Jacobs Center, where Kellogg full-time classes are held and where faculty members maintain offices. Approximately 300 students and 50 partners live in McManus.McManus is furnished. Furnished in this case means that there will be a bed, mattress, desk, chair, and major kitchen appliances. Exchange students who receive placement in McManus will be responsible for providing linens for the bed, including blankets and pillows. You will also need to provide cooking utensils (pots, pans, silverware, plates, bowls, etc.) You will be able to purchase these things in the U.S. but know that there will not be a blanket there, so prepare to bring one, go shopping the day you arrive, or spend one night on a bare mattress.
Due to the high volume of incoming exchange students, it is not possible to guarantee placement in McManus. When this is the case, we will provide students with a list of other housing resources and/or sublets.
For questions related to McManus, please contact Janet Olsen, Housing Coordinator.
Off-campus housing: Additional resources
Below are a few websites you can check for housing sublets in addition to the list you will be sent via email. We recommend that you begin your search for housing early, particularly if you are coming in the fall term when housing in Evanston can be very tight.
