The Dispute Resolution Research Center is a nationally-recognized center for research on conflict, collaboration, dispute resolution and negotiation. As part of our intellectual mission, we convene research conferences bringing together preeminent scholars to advance the study of conflict-related topics, such as ethnic conflict, relational and intergroup conflict, negotiations, social movements, and ethical breaches. These conferences aim to provide a deeper understanding of and potential solutions for the big problems that arise from conflict in society.

Political Sectarianism Conference

A new date has been announced after postponing the 2020 Political Sectarianism Conference. This conference will be held on Northwestern University's campus on Friday, May 20, 2022 through Saturday, May 21, 2022.

On November 2, 2022 Kellogg hosted the special event: Accounting for Slavery: A Conversation with Caitlin Rosenthal, featuring the title How the Word is Passed: A Reckoning with the History of Slavery Across America.

DRRC hosted the inaugural Intergroup Conflict & Cooperation Conference in June 2019.

Culture and Negotiation Conference 2018

Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University hosted a conference on Culture and Negotiation from April 12 to April 14, 2018. The conference conveners, Jeanne Brett and Michele Gelfand, designed the conference to stimulate future research at the intersection of culture and negotiation.

Moral Psychology Summit

The summit, jointly organized by faculty members from the Marketing Department and Management & Organizations Department, will bring together diverse theoretical researchers who share an interest in the psychology of morality, with the goal of catalyzing new conceptual developments. The conference will spotlight recent theory-driven research and will showcase a dozen speakers.
