Jumpstart your career

In just 10 months, the MiM Program builds on your undergraduate degree with business fundamentals while career resources from the Northwestern Career Advancement Center (NCA) and the Kellogg Career Management Center (CMC) help you harness those skills to land a job. MiM career resources offer support all year long in the form of workshops, industry dinners and unlimited 1:1 coaching sessions. 
Summer
  • Attend virtual career boot camps  to perfect your resume, craft your personal pitch and ace your interviews
  • Gain access to Handshake to find job postings, employer events, career fairs and more 
  • Attend career coaching sessions with Kellogg MiM Career Coaches
  • Attend a MiM-exclusive mock career fair and receive live feedback on your pitch
Fall
  • Attend the NCA's Fall career fair 
  • Join clubs such as Consulting and Finance or start and lead your own club in an area of your interest
  • Attend unlimited 1:1 coaching sessions with Kellogg MiM Career Coaches through the end of your program
  • Participate in coffee chats and company presentations sponsored by the NCA 
  • Attend MiM-exclusive industry dinners with MBA students and professors to network and learn about different industries and career paths  
Winter
  • Share tips and tricks and your job search progress with small groups of peers 
  • Attend the NCA's Winter career fair 
  • Take experiential courses that offer hands-on opportunities at local companies 
  • Attend the mid-year MiM alumni networking and professional development event and get to know the MiM community 
Spring
  • Work one-on-one with your career coach to secure a job 
  • Attend events hosted by clubs and the MiM Student Association for professional development and networking opportunities 
  • Attend the MiM Alumni Panel for tailored advice from MiM graduates on recruiting and career experiences
After Kellogg
  • Attend Reunion with your cohort
  • Take advantage of lifelong career coaching, learning courses and alumni networking and events.

As a MiM student, you’ll have access to a wide range of career resources — some exclusive to the MiM program and others shared across the broader Kellogg and Northwestern communities. 
Dedicated program support
Students receive consistent support, quick guidance and customized employer targets both virtually and in-person from career coaches and the MiM program's full-time industry relations staff member.
Career Management Center
You’ll have access to the Kellogg CMC Library, a robust collection of professional databases and research tools to help you build your target list, prepare for interviews and explore industries with confidence. 
 
Professional development workshops
You’ll have the opportunity to attend in-person and virtual career workshops and programs that expose you to a variety of industries and career paths. These sessions also help you build essential job search and networking skills. 
Industry-related clubs
MiM industry clubs offer career exploration, networking and professional development. You can also join select events and conferences sponsored by MBA clubs and centers, expanding your access to cross-program opportunities and connections.  
One-on-one coaching
Our dedicated Kellogg MiM Career Coaches support you through every stage of your career development. They’ll help you define your goals, craft your resume and cover letters, sharpen your interview skills and evaluate job offers.  
On-campus recruitment
MiM students gain direct access to employers through Northwestern Career Advancement’s on-campus recruiting (OCR). Through info sessions, interviews and networking events, companies engage with students for full-time opportunities. 
Curated job boards
You’ll have access to hand-picked internship and full-time opportunities that align with the MiM skill set and common career paths. 
 
Connections and networking
Kellogg’s extensive network includes current students, alumni and employers across industries, from startups to Fortune 500 companies. MiM students are invited to join the Northwestern Network Mentorship Program, gaining personalized guidance and connections during the program and beyond.
