Program highlights
The accounting major provides students with a sound understanding of the theory and practice of financial valuation and reporting, as well as how accounting is used to establish benchmarks and monitor and improve organizational performance and governance. Courses within the major provide extensive coverage of material that is essential for many careers in finance, such as financial statement analysis and the design of legal and tax structures for mergers and acquisitions. An accounting major allows students entering consulting, marketing, and general management to develop skills in forecasting and budgeting, product costing, and the measurement and management of brands and other marketing intangibles.
Major requirements are determined by the quarter you began your Kellogg MBA program. Any new courses and adjustments to the major displayed in the most recent academic year can be applied to previously matriculated students.
