Dr. Klaus Weber joins Northwestern Buffett as Deputy Director

has been appointed as Deputy Director of the Roberta Buffett Institute for Global Affairs. Dr. Weber is Professor of Management & Organizations in Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and is also affiliated with the Department of Sociology and the Northwestern Institute for Sustainability and Energy.
As Deputy Director, Dr. Weber will foster faculty and graduate student engagement in Northwestern Buffett programs and activities. He will work with the Executive Director on faculty, graduate student and undergraduate awards opportunities and provide intellectual guidance for Northwestern Buffett’s new research initiatives, encompassing Idea Dialogues, Idea Incubation Workshops, and Working Groups. He will also assist with the development of global learning initiatives.
Dr. Weber’s research is grounded in cultural and institutional analysis, with substantive interests in the intersection between social movements, organizations and markets; economic globalization; and environmental sustainability. The distinguished recipient of multiple research and teaching awards, Dr. Weber will be a valued leader in our efforts to align Northwestern global education initiatives with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
