Business school and parenthood aren’t at odds. In fact, they’re often part of the same ambitious path.

💐 Happy Mother's Day to the moms across our programs who are balancing the demands of business school with the joys and challenges of raising a family.
Curious what it looks like to be a mom and an MBA candidate? 🤔

Poets&Quants recently spotlighted four Kellogg mothers — Alex Muir ’26 Two-Year Program, Parnian Rao ’25 One-Year Program, Sarah Horwath, ’26 Evening & Weekend Program and Anisa Chowdhury, ’25 Executive MBA — showcasing the unique ways they are each thriving both academically and personally.

When asked if they had any advice for fellow mothers about starting an MBA program, each woman responded with the same sentiment: go for it!

"When you pursue goals you are passionate about, when you step into an environment like Kellogg surrounded by brilliant and compassionate individuals, it lifts you up,” says Sarah. “It gives you experiences and stories to share with your kids, and this enriched version of yourself enhances the love and energy you will bring home to your family.”
