Kellogg Impact Series: London
Marketing Professor Philip Kotler headlines the first event in Kellogg’s global series on business, innovation, leadership and society

The Kellogg community gathered Feb. 8 in London to learn about the latest challenges in management and marketing — and to hear Professor Philip Kotler’s insights on how to overcome them.

“Following the success of our Centennial Conference Series last year, the Kellogg Impact Series continues to facilitate lifelong learning opportunities for the Kellogg community worldwide,” Interim Dean Sunil Chopra said. “We believe that the London event and subsequent Kellogg Impact events allow attendees to engage in insightful discussions on timely topics that are facing the business world today.”
Subsequent conferences are planned for Chicago (Feb. 19), Hong Kong (March 19-20), San Francisco (May 11) and New York (June 3). The events will feature keynote addresses on topics related to business, innovation, leadership and society. Keynote speakers will include Jim McNerney, chairman, president and CEO of The Boeing Company, who will speak in Chicago; and Norwest Venture Partners managing partner Promod Haque ’83, who will speak in San Francisco.
China’s keynote speaker is K.C. Chan, Hong Kong’s secretary for financial services and the treasury and the former dean of business and management at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Gary W. Parr ’80, a vice chairman of Lazard, is the New York keynote speaker.
Topics will include maintaining a competitive edge in today's global economy, the effect of the current global financial crisis on Asia and how executives impact the bottom line.
