2022-2023 Student Conference Schedule

Black Management Association Conference (BMAC)

Saturday, October 29, 2022

The BMA Conference is Kellogg's longest running student-led conference. It is the Black Management Association’s most significant opportunity to bring transformative and diverse perspectives to business leaders of tomorrow..

This year, our theme, “No Ceilings”, aims to reimagine how we think about #BlackExcellence in the business world. The ceilings we speak of in 2022 have looked like Black leaders representing only 4.4% of board seats, Black women founders accounting for only .34% of venture capital, and Black CEOs representing only 1% of Fortune 500 CEOs. Yet, despite centuries of systemic oppression, the abilities of Black businesspeople are and always have been limitless.

Thus, while many of our people have experienced the metaphorical ‘ceiling’ that has stripped us of activating our full potential, this year’s BMAC aims to reclaim our power by:

  • Informing attendees of how and why these historical ‘ceilings’ have existed
  • Amplifying Black leaders who have shattered ‘ceilings’ by breaking the mold
  • Empowering conference attendees -- our future business leaders -- with a blueprint to advocate ‘no ceilings’ in every space we occupy.

We each play a role in fulfilling the vision of No Ceilings, and BMAC is preparing to ensure attendees leave knowing these ‘ceilings’ have cracks and empowered to apply the pressure needed to break through. Register at kelloggbmac.com.

Kellogg Tech Conference

Wednesday, November 9, 2022

OPTIMIZING FOR IMPACT: Tech's Evolving Role in Society: Technology on the frontier of innovation is evolving to be more human, yet work - even technical work - is becoming more automated. As technology's scope of impact extends over more and more of the human experience, effective leaders must have both the technical know-how to drive innovation and the empathic leadership ability to solve deep human problems. The Kellogg Tech Conference will shape the discussion around this important dynamic through an exploration of three pillars: Evolving Solutions, Evolving Contexts, and Evolving Leaders. Join us at the Kellogg Global Hub for a high-impact day of learning and conversation!

Kellogg Future of Cities Conference

For the first time in human history, cities are home to more than half of the world’s population. With their high concentration of human and economic capital, cities are dynamic engines of economic growth and innovation, and have the potential not only to provide opportunity to billions but also to serve as laboratories for solutions to many of humanity’s biggest problems. Yet unlocking the potential of cities isn’t a given, and there’s no guarantee these benefits will be available to all. How might we make cities engines of economic growth and holistic, sustainable well-being for everyone?
