Book Conference – "Good Economics for Hard Times"

Consumer finance and new technologies: research and practice


On November 20th, the newly awarded 2019 Nobel Laureate in Economics, Professor Abhijit Banerjee, will talk about his new book, co-written with his fellow 2019 Nobel Laureate, Professor Esther Duflo, "Good Economics for Hard Times."  He will discuss how their work fighting poverty in developing economices, which includes interventions that help people, entrepreneurs, and policy makers, can provide insights for wealthier nations such as the United States.

The conference will include an introduction by Dean Francesca Cornelli, a presentation by Professor Banerjee, a round-table discussion with Kellogg faculty, and a Q&A with  the audience.
