SpotHero: Driving Growth in the Startup World

Abstract

Holding up his iPhone to the sensor at the exit of his office's parking garage, Elan Mosbacher waited for the gate to rise, then emerged onto LaSalle Street just north of Chicago's Loop. In the canyon of skyscrapers, he subconsciously tracked buildings with "Parking" signs, noting which were SpotHero partners and which the company had yet to crack. His mind was occupied with the meeting he just left as he rushed home to get his two young children to bed.

Note: The use of this case is restricted to classes at the Kellogg School of Management.
