Summer Bootcamp at Kellogg: RL in Operations

This four-day workshop will showcase frontiers in the application of reinforcement learning (RL) algorithms to topics central to operations.

Day one will be spent getting everyone up to speed on the basics. Each of the subsequent three days will be devoted to specific applications of RL in operations problems. The mornings will be devoted to the theory behind a particular application followed by interactive lab sessions in the afternoons, where participants will have the opportunity to code up the algorithms themselves. The target audience is intended to be a researcher in operations with little to no experience in actually coding and implementing the RL algorithms.
