CPU Team Enjoys Big Ten Case Competition
In March, a team of CPU students traveled to Madison, Wisconsin, to participate in the in the Fourth Annual Big Ten Case Competition at the University of Wisconsin School of Business.
Thomas Gao, Patrick Jiang, Shalini Singh (captain), and Ken Park enjoyed meeting their student colleagues from around the Big Ten. Here are some of team captain Shalini’s reflections.
The competition had a different structure than traditional case competitions, which we found to be pretty interesting. It was a great weekend--meeting motivated people from diverse backgrounds, interacting with the judges and learning about their experiences in the workplace, bonding with other team members, and of course, enjoying good food. I would like to specifically thank Kellogg CPU for giving us the opportunity to work closely with our Kellogg MBA mentor, Peter Weyrens, in understanding the nitty-gritty of cases--I think we all understand businesses a lot better now.
