Congratulations Class of 2013

Graduation - Class of 2013The sixth annual Kellogg Certificate Program for Undergraduates Graduation Celebration was hosted on June 20, 2013.

This year 38 students completed the requirements of the Financial Economics Certificate, and 37 students earned the Managerial Analytics Certificates. The CPU alumni network now exceeds over 360 alumni, with representatives across North America, South America, Europe and Asia.

Academic Director Professor Martin Lariviere opened the ceremony with reflections of all the hard work and commitment the students put into the Certificate Program courses and assured the students’ families that they had risen to the academic challenge beautifully. He spoke of all the wonderful opportunities they will be pursing after graduation and offered his best wishes to the seniors, and requested that they stay connected with each other and the program. Eric Zhang (FE) and Teresa Chen (MA), who were selected by their classmates to speak at the ceremony, shared “CPU” memories and what they enjoyed most about the program. The student speeches were then followed by welcome words from CPU alum, Radu Cret (FE ’12). Mr. Cret reminisced about his time in the program, and described ways he incorporates both the CPU course material and approach to assessing business problems in his work.  Finally, he encouraged the seniors to stay involved after graduation.
