Congratulations CPU Class of 2012!
Congratulations to the 76 graduating seniors who received their certificates at the fifth annual Kellogg Certificate Program for Undergraduates celebration on June 14, 2012.
This year 41 students completed the requirements of the Financial Economics Certificate, and 35 students earned the Managerial Analytics Certificates. These graduates join the CPU alumni group, which is currently about 300 strong.
Academic Director Professor Martin Lariviere spoke about the rigor of Certificate Program courses and assured the students’ families that they had risen to the academic challenge beautifully. He offered his best wishes to the seniors, and requested that they stay connected with each other and the program. Alexandra Baleanu (FE) and Katie Bradford (MA), who were selected by their classmates to speak at the ceremony, shared “CPU” memories, stories, and lessons learned, and offered reflections for the future. The student speeches were then followed by welcome words from CPU alum, Thanabhum (Boom) Aramwatananont (MA ’11). Mr. Aramwatananont spoke of his profound (and sometimes funny) memories of the program and ended with a reminder to enjoy the present and be open to the possibilities.
Alexandra and Boom’s remarks can be found below:"Old Friends, New Beginnings" by Alexandra Baleanu
