Congratulations Class of 2015

grad news thumbnail image The eighth annual Kellogg Certificate Program for Undergraduates Graduation Celebration was hosted on June 18, 2015.

This year 38 students completed the requirement of the Financial Economics Certificate and 48 students completed the requirements for the Managerial Analytics Certificate.  The CPU alumni network now exceeds 550 alumni and are currently working across four continents:  North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.

Academic Director Professor Martin Lariviere opened the ceremony with reflections of all the hard work and commitment demonstrated by these graduating students, not just in the classroom but also through internship expierences, job searches, and countless areas of student involvement.  Professor Lariviere remarked on the high standards and tough academic rigor of the CPU program to further demonstrate these student’s commitment as something to be celebrated here today.  Houren Zhu (FE) and Rick Fromm (MA) were selected by their fellow classmates to speak at the ceremony and both shared ‘CPU memories’ and stories from their time spent in the program.  Mr. Fromm remarked, “But, on top of the many things we learned in our classes, we built a community. If you take anything away from your experience, here at Northwestern and in the CPU program, let it be this: you are not alone… the people in this room are evidence of that.”

Rick Fromm’s remarks can be found below:
