Golub Capital Board Fellows Program
Cultivating opportunities for impact through nonprofit board service
Launched in 2003, the Golub Capital Board Fellows program originated as a Kellogg based initiative to deepen student engagement in nonprofit governance. Its proven success over time led to the creation of a broader network of leading business schools advancing this model nationwide. As the inaugural member of The Golub Capital Nonprofit Board Fellows Network, Kellogg prepares Board Fellows by combining credit-bearing coursework with experiential learning. Fellows serve as ex-officio board members while simultaneously completing two courses in board governance. Fellows have a lasting impact on their nonprofit partners by participating in board meetings and completing a meaningful strategic project over the course of the fellowship.

Our Purpose
The purpose of the Golub Capital Board Fellows Program is three-fold:
- To prepare Kellogg students to be socially responsible leaders through academic training in board governance and experiential learning through service on nonprofit boards.
- To support nonprofit organizations by applying fellows’ professional experience and academic backgrounds to solve strategic, organizational and operational issues that enhance the work of nonprofit boards.
- To build Kellogg's reputation for producing strong, socially responsible, community-oriented leaders while making a positive impact in the Chicago area.
