Jordan Schwartz

Jordan Schwartz is a senior executive in the fields of development economics and infrastructure finance, with more than three decades of experience leading public-private investment, policy reform, risk management, and institutional transformation across emerging markets. He served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Inter-American Development Bank--the largest source of multilateral finance in Latin America and the Caribbean--from 2023 to 2026,  Previously, he held a series of senior World Bank technical and regional positions, including the global Director for Infrastructure Finance, PPPs and Guarantees; Regional Director for Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay; Director of the Infrastructure & Urban Development Hub in Singapore; and founding Head of the Global Infrastructure Facility. He began his career in power, water and transport consulting at Deloitte Touche and Booz Allen Hamilton. 

Jordan is the author of articles on topics such as the relationship of risk to investment, infrastructure and job creation, and the prioritization of investments, and is co-author of the book, "Uncovering the Drivers of Utility Performance: Private Sector, Regulation and Governance."  Jordan has represented the World Bank and the IDB at the G20, COP, UNGA and APEC. He is currently serving as Senior Advisor on Risk Architecture and Operational Risk at the World Bank Group.
