Faculty Associate of Operations

Headshot of Pablo Landa, faculty at the Kellogg School of Management

Pablo Landa co-teaches Kellogg's Applied AI Lab (AIML-972-0), a hands-on course in which MBA students build and ship working AI products for company partners. He helped design the course and its curriculum, and each quarter he pairs student teams with partner companies and guides their projects from problem definition through deployment.

Landa is an operator, entrepreneur, and investor who has spent his career putting technology to work inside companies. He built the first AI Operations function at Klue, a competitive-intelligence software company, founding the team and the program from inception and reengineering the company's core workflows around AI. Earlier at Klue he spent several years in enterprise sales, building and growing relationships with some of the world's largest enterprises.

Today he advises companies of every size, from family-held operators to global corporations and private equity firms, on adopting AI across their operations. His approach is to use technology to empower people to focus on what they do best, putting AI on the routine and repetitive work so that human judgment, expertise, and relationships become more valuable, not less.

At Kellogg, Landa co-led the Kellogg AI Club, building AI programming for more than 750 members and helping launch the applied-AI work that became the Applied AI Lab. As a Claude Builder with Anthropic, he drove adoption of Claude across campus and led training workshops, events, and hackathons. He received the Dean's Distinguished Service Award for his contributions to the Kellogg community.

Applied AI Lab (AIML-972-0)

Companies are creating new roles to deploy AI inside existing organizations - and need leaders who can translate fuzzy business problems into working AI products. The Applied AI Lab is a 10-week experiential course in which students work in small cross-functional teams to scope, build, and ship AI-driven solutions for company partners. Teams deliver a working AI product - not a slide deck - that partners continue using after the engagement ends. Each week pairs a 90-minute instructor-led session on a transferable framework (process mapping, problem quantification, eval-driven development, stakeholder sequencing, production handoff) with several hours of team-led project work and direct client engagement. Students graduate with both a portable framework and a deployed artifact built inside a real organization. The application for AIML-972-0 can be found here.
