Adjunct Lecturer of Operations

Alex Jensen is an adjunct lecturer at the Kellogg School of Management and a Ph.D. candidate in the Operations Management department. He teaches AI Foundations for Managers (AIML 901).

Before joining Kellogg, he received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Hispanic Studies from Oberlin College, where he chaired the Experimental College, a student-run, academic department offering 140 accredited courses to 900 students. He then taught mathematics in Chicago Public Schools.

Jensen’s research examines how technology shapes learning and educational systems. His dissertation asks how educational video games can encourage children to spend their free time learning, drawing on field experiments with a mobile learning platform. He is also exploring how generative AI might be used to design more engaging educational games, and how it could reshape admissions.
