10:30–11:30am Designing Dynamic Negotiations Syllabi: Insights from Kellogg

You’ll uncover proven course elements, practical tips for introducing new material seamlessly, and strategies to keep your class dynamic and engaging. Then, join Cynthia for an in-depth look at Clearview Glass—our newest team-based, cross-cultural role-playing exercise—and discover how it can deepen your students’ skills and enrich their learning experience.
11:45am–1:00pm Teaching with Case Discussions: Project Restart

This session will feature a live case debrief with attendees of the case Project Restart, which examines the complex negotiations to restart the coronavirus-disrupted 2020 English Premier League soccer season. After demonstrating how he debriefs the case, Prof. Kteily will moderate a conversation about best practices for teaching negotiation using cases (versus negotiation exercises).

10:15–11:15am Enriching Class Debriefs

This session will have two components:
Using extra credit assignments to make the class better will focus on keeping your examples fresh by having students identify real-world examples or video clips.
Bringing personal examples into the classroom will address when and how to incorporate your own negotiation successes and failures into the course.
11:30am–12:30pm Roundtable: Reflections on Teaching Negotiations at and beyond Kellogg
In this session, faculty with current or previous affiliations to Kellogg will reflect on their experiences teaching negotiations both at Kellogg and in broader academic and professional settings. Panelists will share insights into pedagogical challenges, innovations, and the evolving landscape of negotiation education.
12:30–1pm Synthesis and Conclusion
