The inaugural International Conference on Science of Science and Innovation (ICSSI) was held on June 7-9, 2022 at the National Academy of Sciences Building in Washington, D.C. The event brought together both producers and consumers of scientific research, including academics, experts from industry and government agencies, as well as policymakers, investors and administrators. With this broadly inclusive group, it is our goal to better inform scientific inquiry in a way that significantly improves its practical relevance for policies and communities writ large.
