After much consideration, we have decided to cancel the 2020 DAEiNA meeting at Northwestern University. We made this decision with the safety and well-being of all conference participants in mind and in accordance with Northwestern University’s COVID-19 guidance.
The Board hopes to find a new date (possibly at a new location) for the conference in the 2020-2021 academic year. We will inform you as soon as we know more.
We want to thank everyone who signed up and hope that you will join us when we have a new confirmed date.
The 9th annual meeting of
Danish Academic Economists in North America (DAEiNA) will be held on May 16, 2020 at Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
The meeting will consist of paper presentations, a brief organizational meeting, and networking opportunities. We are delighted to announce that
Allan Timmermann and
Peter R. Hansen will be giving the keynote speeches. The meeting will start with an informal reception and dinner on Friday May 15, followed by a full day of programming on Saturday May 16.
To request a presentation slot, please submit a paper or abstract to
daeina@daeina.net. Presentation slots will be allocated on a rolling basis. The final deadline for submission is March 15, 2020. Participation will be open to anyone who has (i) a connection to Denmark and (ii) a past, present, or future interest in doing economic research in North America. We encourage the presentation of preliminary work, particularly PhD students who are about to go on the academic job market.
