Harrison Shih, a student in the Certificate Program, receives an award for academic excellence at the annual event

A student in the Certificate Program for Undergraduates was recognized at the Jan. 18 Salon, an annual event hosted by University Trustee David Kabbiller ’87 (WCAS ’85).

Harrison Shih received an award for academic excellence for his contributions to the Northwestern community and a commitment to a career in finance. The event took place at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York City.

Shih was joined by Sunil Chopra, the IBM Professor of Operations Management and Information Systems and Kellogg MBA student Jason Stulberg ’10, who also was honored at the event. Stephen Colbert (School of Communication ’86), renowned comedian and host of “The Colbert Report” served as the guest speaker for the event.
