The Center for Research in Technology & Innovation advances its educational and research missions by creating meaningful opportunities for students, researchers, and faculty to engage with important questions at the intersection of technology, innovation, business, and society. Through funding, mentorship, research support, and convening activities, CRTI helps strengthen the intellectual community around technology and innovation while supporting the development of emerging scholars and future business leaders.

  • Student research scholarships provide MBA and doctoral students with support to pursue independent or faculty-guided research related to technology and innovation. These scholarships encourage students to explore promising questions, develop analytical depth, and contribute to the broader research agenda of the center.
  • Summer internships for students give students the opportunity to deepen their understanding of technology and innovation through applied research, industry engagement, or center-supported projects. These internships help students connect classroom learning with real-world challenges while building skills in research, analysis, and problem solving.
  • CRTI sponsorship of student conferences supports student-led convenings that bring together scholars, practitioners, alumni, and industry leaders around timely themes in technology and innovation. By sponsoring these conferences, CRTI helps create spaces for dialogue, networking, and knowledge exchange across disciplines and sectors.
  • Doctoral and post-doctoral fellowships support emerging scholars whose research aligns with CRTI’s mission. These fellowships provide time, resources, and intellectual community for early-career researchers to advance rigorous scholarship and contribute to important debates in technology, innovation, and management.
  • Research grants for Kellogg faculty in innovation and technology provide faculty members with funding to launch or advance research projects in areas related to CRTI’s focus. These grants can support data collection, research assistance, fieldwork, experiments, and other activities that help generate high-quality academic insight.
  • Visiting faculty appointments allow CRTI to bring distinguished scholars and thought leaders into the Kellogg community for research collaboration, teaching, seminars, and intellectual exchange. These appointments enrich the center’s academic environment and help connect Kellogg faculty and students with leading perspectives from other institutions and fields.
