Bidding and Registration Dates





Spring 2023
BID PHASE 1

February 10 at 9:00 am to February 13 at 5pm

Use points to bid on sections allocated to your program. (Sections 60s, 80s and 90s (Chicago) for Evening students, and Sections 70s, 80s and 90s (Chicago) for Weekend students, and Sections 40s and 50s for Evening and Weekend students.)
100% Drop Only (100% bid point refund)

February 15 at 12pm to February 16 at 5pm

Drop any enrollments secured in Bid Phase 1 for a 100% refund of bid points for use in Bid Phase 2.
BID PHASE 2 February 17 at 12pm to February 20 at 5pm
Use points to bid on open seats allocated to Evening or Weekend programs (Sections 40s and 50s in Evanston, and Sections 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s in Chicago).
100% Drop Only (100% bid point refund) February 22 at 12pm to February 23 at 5pm
Drop any enrollments (from Phase 1 or Phase 2) for a 100% refund of bid points for use in Bid Phase 3.
BID PHASE 3 February 24 at 12pm to February 27 at 5pm
Use points to bid on open seats in any program (with the exception of core courses, which you must take on your home campus).
75% Drop Only (75% bid point refund)

March 1 at 12pm to       March 2 at 5pm

Drop any enrollments (from Phase 1, 2 or 3) for a 75% refund of bid points for use in Pay What You Bid.
PAY WHAT YOU BID March 3 at 12pm to March 6 at 5pm

Use points to bid on any open seats, or for a waitlist position.

Drop any enrollments (from Phase 1, 2 or 3) for a 50% refund of bid points for use in Pay What You Bid.

50% Drop Only, Conditional Drop March 7 at 12pm to March 17 at 8:30am
Continue to drop any enrollments for a 50% refund of bid points. (Drops from a waitlist or no promotion into class results in 100% refund of bid points.)

Waitlist promotions in real time.

Set conditional drops to ensure waitlist promotion if you are at or near your credit maximum.
New Evening Student Registration March 8 at 12pm to March 9 at 11:30am Incoming Evening students register for core courses.
New Weekend Student Registration March 9 at 12pm to March 10 at 11:30am Incoming Weekend students register for core courses.
ALL New Evening & Weekend Student Registration
March 10 at 12pm to March 12 at 10pm
Continued registration for all incoming Evening & Weekend students.
ADD/DROP (50% Bid Point Refund, 10-Week, 1st 5-Week, 2nd 5-Week courses) March 17 at 9am to        April 3 at 8am

Real-time enrollment into open seats and addition to waitlists.

Drop any enrollments for a 50% refund of bid points. (Drops from a waitlist or no promotion into class results in 100% refund of bid points.)

Drops will not result in a "W" (withdraw) on the transcript.

Waitlist promotions in real time.

Set conditional drops to ensure waitlist promotion if you are at or near your credit maximum.

Drop 10-Week and 1st 5-Week courses by April 3 at 8am to receive 100% tuition refund

ADD/DROP (50% Bid Point Refund, 2nd 5-Week courses ONLY) April 3 at 8:01am to        May 8 at 8am

Real-time enrollment into open seats and addition to waitlists for 2nd 5-week courses ONLY.

Continue to drop 2nd 5-Week enrollments for a 50% refund of bid points.

Waitlist promotions in real time.

Drop 2nd 5-Week courses by May 8 at 8am to receive 100% tuition refund


Pass/No Credit Election Begins: February 17 at 12pm

Ends: April 10 at 8am      (1st 5-Week Classes)

Ends: April 17 at 8am (10-Week Classes)

Ends: May 15 at 8am (2nd 5-Week Classes)

Withdrawal Period for 10-week classes April 3 at 8:01am to
May 8 at 8am
During the Withdrawal period, students may continue to drop unwanted 10-week courses.

A drop during the Withdrawal period will be noted on your transcript with a W. The W is a GPA-neutral record notation that simply indicates the timing of the course drop.
Withdrawal Period for First 5-week classes

April 3 at 8:01am to        April 17 at 8am

During the Withdrawal period, students may continue to drop unwanted 1st 5-week courses.

A drop during the Withdrawal period will be noted on your transcript with a W. The W is a GPA-neutral record notation that simply indicates the timing of the course drop.
Withdrawal Period for Second 5-week classes

May 8 at 8:01am to        May 22 at 8am

During the Withdrawal period, students may continue to drop unwanted 2nd 5-week courses.

A drop during the Withdrawal period will be noted on your transcript with a W. The W is a GPA-neutral record notation that simply indicates the timing of the course drop.
