Levy Social Entrepreneurship Lab About the Levys
Carol and Larry Levy have an established history of supporting and encouraging entrepreneurial efforts amongst students at the Kellogg School of Management. In 2003, they contributed to the establishment of the Larry and Carol Levy Institute for Entrepreneurial Practice.
In 2006, Larry Levy served as one of the judges for a Kellogg entrepreneurial competition that unanimously voted the One Acre Fund as winner, with a business plan for setting up a social enterprise that would empower chronically hungry farm families in East Africa to permanently lift themselves out of hunger and poverty. The Levy's saw the potential of the Kellogg community in bringing about social change and in the hope of promoting efforts they pledged their support to Kellogg’s initiatives in this area. The result is the Carol and Larry Levy Social Entrepreneurship Lab.
Larry Levy is Founder and Chairman of the Chicago-based Levy Restaurants as well as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of his real estate development company, The Levy Organization.
