Orange County (California)
Alumni Club of Orange County

The Kellogg Alumni Club of Orange County kept up the momentum this summer during our inaugural campaign with two more well-attended events. First, we held our premiere club happy hour at the Daily Grill in Newport Beach's Fashion Island complex on July 12. Our Windy City rival, the University of Chicago GSB, also had a few alumni present to join us in camaraderie and networking. Some of the first-time Kellogg graduate attendees at this KACOC function were Greg Arends '03, vice president of marketing at Hansen Beverage Company; Jack Cassidy '71 of Pro Forma West; Payal Kindiger '06 of generationE Technologies; Carol Kurimsky '86, vice president of marketing at Ingram Micro and George Ye '04, director of strategy and development at Advanced Medical Optics.

Eric Johnson '01 and his wife, Jenni, celebrate their first anniversary at KACOC's wine and cheese party in August.

As a precursor to the L.A. club's annual Pageant of the Masters group night, Paul Lange '62 and his wife, June, held a wine and cheese gathering at their gorgeous home in Laguna Niguel. Kellogg alumni from O.C. and L.A. were treated to a pool side soiree with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. New attendees to an O.C. club function included Dennis Chae '03 of the L.A. club; Paul Brady '91, principal of the Carlyle Group; Jennifer Fried '06 , manager of strategic sourcing at Warner Bros. and Jerry Tang '05, senior equity analyst at Roth Capital Partners.

Many thanks go out to my dedicated KACOC Leadership Team. Besides planning and attending all of our events this year, they have gone the extra mile to host team meetings and learned how to use the club Web tools to reach out to alums for participation in club activities. Monica Baier '05, Eric Johnson '01, Maria Ramirez '02, Jessica Yang '03 and Ryan Young '06: There would be no club without all of your stellar efforts! Thank you so much.
