Exams and Review Sessions

Exams

The exams are in class, closed book exams.  No notes are allowed. A formula sheet which may be used during the exam will be attached to the exam. You may also create your own formula sheet (one page both sides for the midterm and two pages both sides for the final). You will be allowed to use a calculator or a computer. A significant fraction of the questions in the exams will be based on previous exams. Thus, to help study for the exams you should look at my past exams. Needless to say that you are not responsible for material on previous exams which we did not cover in class. As I never give exams late, be certain you can make the exam before you sign up for my class. The final exam covers all the material, including material covered by the midterm. If you need to arrange a special early exam you need to contact me at least three business days before the exam.

Review Sessions

I will run a review session prior to the midterm and prior to the final (see the calendar for more information). I will not present any new material. Historically, past exams have been a source of many, but not all, of the questions.

Past Exams

To prepare for your exam, you may want to take some past exams from recent sections taught here at Kellogg. I strongly recommend that you try the exams before you look at the answers. It is surprisingly easy to convince yourself you know the material, by looking at the answers. The exams on the web page are stored in Adobe Acrobat format. To view or print the exams, you will need the Adobe Acrobat reader. If you are downloading the exams in the computer labs, the Adobe Acrobat reader is already on the computer. If you are downloading the exams on your own computer, you will need the Adobe Acrobat reader. Return to the Corporate Finance web page for instructions on obtaining the Adobe Acrobat reader.
