Course Description

This course will cover the basics of corporate finance. We will study the finance questions which corporations must answer and thus which you will likely run into in your career. The objective is not to make you a financial technocrat, but instead to give you the tools to actively participate in business decisions. Capital is the life blood of corporations. If you do not have a basic understanding of finance, you can be locked out of important discussions and decisions. I will teach you that basic understanding. This combined with your techical and creative skills gives you an advantage over the technocrats. You should read the first class assignment prior to coming to the first class.
