Micah Murphy, Chris Addy and Ryan Paulowsky attended the inaugural Carrier Classic basketball game onboard the USS CARL VINSON on Veteran's Day. The CARL VINSON is the aircraft carrier that buried Osama bin Laden at sea last May. Luminaries that attended included President Obama, Magic Johnson, and Brooklyn Decker. A court was erected on the flight deck solely for the purpose of hosting the game, which pitted UNC against Michigan State. Micah wrote, "We played paparazzi last night and got a ton of pics--but none better than this one! The Heels look unstoppable this year."

Micah deployed to the Arabian Gulf as commanding officer of the minesweeper USS DEXTROUS (MCM 13). Follow "MCM Crew Exultant" on Facebook for more information.

Nadia Majid joined CKx, Inc., owner of American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, Elvis Presley Enterprises and other entertainment properties, in a strategy and marketing operations role after several years at the NBA. She looks forward to starting at CKx in the middle of March after a trip to Japan.

Joanna Hamilton joined Intuit as a senior marketing manager in their small business group, focusing on advertising for exciting products such as Quickbooks, Payroll and GoPayment. Joanna reports: "John Hamilton '05 and I left our old jobs on the same day (Jan. 6) and started new jobs on the same day (Jan. 9)." John is the VP of Client Services for Inadco, a startup in Palo Alto that does CPL for display advertising. The Hamiltons are still living in San Francisco.

Ben Munoz and Scott Orn would like to thank the Kellogg community for its huge contribution to the Ben's Friends Patient Support Networks (BensFriends.org). They write: "Our January fundraiser raised over $21,000 and had over 180 contributors. The Kellogg community was incredibly generous and 83 Kellogg donors contributed over $10,000!!! Thanks to your donations, Ben's Friends is fully funded for 2012 and will be able to add 10 new patient support networks for a total of 40. Ben's Friends is growing incredibly fast and as we write this we have already grown 45 percent in the first seven weeks of 2012. We are now serving 28,000 patients a month. You've made our dream of helping patients with rare diseases possible. We thank you, and the patients thank you."

Jill Zeldin and Andrew Miller were married in February in Jill's hometown of Kansas City, Mo. While Jill and Andrew got to know each other through GIM China, Jill captured Andrew's attention with one incredible hit to centerfield against the Poets in 2006 in IM softball. Andrew tempted fate by making a running grab to steal her glory and lead the Poets to victory over the Bullfrogs. Lucky catch, some might say. Many Kellogg friends celebrated with the happy couple including: Matt Ziser, Katie and Greg Yeadon, Bryant Lee and Mary Birkel, Caryn (Zieses) Levine, Jen Splansky, Kelly Greenwood and Jules Maltz, Meghan Coles, Whitney and Ryan Paulowsky, Lauren Novita, Marisa (Blankfeld) Zimmerman, Scott Orn, Natasha Deckmann '05, Megan (Hitchner) Ketchum and Matt Ketchum, Beth Stevens, Jen (Meyer) Merrill, Joe Merrill and Ram Jagannath. Jill and Andrew live in Cleveland, Ohio, where Andrew works for the Cleveland Indians and Jill recently began working for Breakthrough Charter Schools.

Agnes Liou '08 and Eric McGimpsey were married in September in Chicago. They celebrated with friends from both the '07 and '08 classes. Eric reported that they had a great day and were happy to share it with so many good friends. Agnes and Eric are both looking forward to the class of 2007 reunion (and the class of 2008 reunion next year).

Asmita and Zubin Vandrevala and Deepa and Aditya Bhashyam had the good fortune to be at Tarun Arora and Rakhi's official wedding in late December.

Leticia (Munraba) Emme and her husband Chris welcomed their first baby, Tyler Bret Emme, on Halloween. Leticia writes, "On the professional side, I decided to leave corporate consulting and started my own consulting practice advising entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized business owners."

Lauren (Nuechterlein) Louis and her husband Andy Louis welcomed their first child, Brooke Elizabeth Louis, on Dec. 10. They also moved from Philadelphia to Seattle last summer, so it was a busy year. Lauren writes: "I'm still at McKinsey, but I switched to an internal role in 2010 where I manage the annual reviews of our partners. Brooke turns out to be a great little traveler. She went on eight flights before she was six weeks old (maybe a future consultant as well!?!)"

Ryan Christian Auwarter, son of Rachel and Todd Auwarter, arrived at 7:36 p.m. Feb. 8, weighing in at 7 pounds, 1 ounce. Todd writes that everyone is doing well. They are now in Houston and Todd is still with Bain. The Auwarters enjoy getting together occasionally with the other Kellogg alums in the area.

Steve Bull writes: "My wife Allison and I welcomed our first and second children into the world this past September, two twin boys. Their names are Owen and Austin, and they've been both an absolute thrill for us (though completely exhausting as well)! I thought after 10 years in consulting I knew what sleep deprivation was, but these boys have given new definition to the word. We also moved to a new house in Evanston last July, and we have been enjoying getting to know our new neighbors. Living five minutes from my office at ZS Associates has been a nice bonus, too."

Hilary Nindorf and her husband NJ were overjoyed to welcome son Benjamin Singh Josan into their family in September. Hilary writes: "Ben has been keeping us on our toes, giddy and exhausted these last several months! I returned to work at Chevron Corporation following my leave, and will be taking on a new role within our investor relations group this spring. NJ joined Cisco in July, and continues to work in their cloud-based security business line." Hilary and her family live in the San Francisco's East Bay.

On Nov. 25, Joris Wijpkema and Stephanie Pirishis welcomed their second daughter, Iliana Lucia Wijpkema. Stephanie also noted that the fall was doubly busy because in September she launched her own business, poladora.com. Poladora aggregates local stores for wedding registry purposes. The site currently represents more than 12 different Chicago retailers and references all of their items directly on the site so that people can register for any item their partners carry in one simple step. Joris is still working at McKinsey.

Andrik Cardenas and wife Jenn welcomed a daughter, Amy Rose Cardenas, to the family on Jan. 14. Amy was born 7 pounds, 7 ounces and was 20.5 inches. The Cardenas report, "Amy is settling in wonderfully and adores staring at her big sister, Diana!"

Lily Shontz was born Feb. 15 at 3.63 kg in London to proud parents Ashley and Anthony Shontz. Anthony notes, "The sun was finally shining in London so we ventured out for a walk with the intention of getting a picture of all of us together. We're learning it's not easy to get a family of seven sitting still and smiling for the camera. For now we'll just have to be content having all the bodies present with eyes open (Lily is excused of course). In other news, our European adventure is drawing to a close as we will move back to New York this summer. Not quite San Francisco, but we're excited to at least be back in the USA."

A motley crew of Kellogg friends loosely associated with KAOS BVI assembled in Tahoe on Feb. 25 for a few days of (icy) skiing, hiking and reminiscing, including Ben Nimmergut, Anye Roth Deana and Serg Deana, Bryant Lee, Mary Birkel Lee and Owen Lee, Greg Yeadon, Jay Choi, Max Kay, Jamil Hossain and Carrie Thomas, Beth Stevens, Neha Patel Palmer and John Palmer '08, David Doucette, David Sweeney and Steph Ho.
