Maria Kalapati writes: "Charlie Pick, you have inspired me with your call for comments in the last magazine! I have always enjoyed reading everyone's entries, too, but never made the time to write an update until now. So here's what I've been up to the last 8 years... my how time has flown after graduation. Here's an update: I took a marketing job with Dell and moved back home to Austin. I met my future husband, Charles, six weeks later at a retreat, and we were married almost a year later in January 2005. My full-time job now is caring for our three beautiful and highly energetic children: Clare (6), Charlie (3), and Mary Frances (2), volunteering at Holy Family Catholic School (where Clare attends Kindergarten), and as CFO and co-owner of our family's startup business (VOV Technology). We have manufactured and shipped a debug board for the HP MediaSmart Server to customers around the world for over three years now. Our business was completely bootstrapped and has enjoyed steady, manageable growth. It is so exciting to be part of a new revolution of technology that enables the everyday person to take an idea to fruition with just an internet connection and a computer!"

Sheau-ming Ross started a new job at the start of this year. She is now the chief financial officer for Silver Chalice, a next generation, digital sports and entertainment media company built upon three best-in-class capabilities - production, distribution and monetization of sports and entertainment content.

Patrick Thomas Fisher left J. P. Morgan in 2007 to start Creation Investments, a leading impact investment firm which focuses on private equity in microfinance, small and medium enterprises, and other financial services such as micro-insurance, micro-savings and mobile money. Patrick comments: "We are proud to have investments in Eastern Europe, Asia and Latin America. Outside of this main fund, we manage assets and have advised on health care, affordable housing, clean water, clean energy, education and carbon credit transactions both domestically and internationally. We are hoping to launch a new fund soon, again for financial services for the BOP (bottom of the economic pyramid). My family has also been growing and are doing well!"
