Stuart McCrary joined Berkeley Research Group's Chicago office as a director.

In September, Houston-based V.J. Singal spoke at the Jacobs Women's Collaborative in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., his first ever paid gig for an all-women's organization. Later that day, V.J., a self-described "nature-preserves nut," took an exhilarating hike amid the stunted pines and other flora covering the white sand dunes in Henderson Beach State Park in nearby Destin.

Lawrence "Larry" Duran updates: "I was appointed as a federal administrative law judge with the Social Security Administration in Moreno Valley, Calif. While working at the Internal Revenue Service in Washington D.C., I earned my law degree at Georgetown University. I then served as an attorney for state and local governments in Sacramento, Calif., for the past 25 years, including the California Legislative Counsel's Office, the Sacramento District Attorney, the Sacramento County Counsel's Office, and for last seven years, at the Sacramento City Attorney's Office."

I received greetings from Hiro Matsuzaki in Japan: "Thank you so much for your kind and heartwarming mails extended to us when we were hit by the biggest earthquake on March 11, 2011. The number 3.11 clearly engraved in our mind just as unbearable and painful memory as 9.11. But March also had some happy moments as my wife Sachiko and I were very happy to become grandparents again (now we have four grandchildren). My lecturing at a university has been doubled to two units in 2011. I am still doing events for Japan-America Society, in addition to seminars for an environmental group and continued lectures on global leadership, global communication, job searching, etc. at other universities and educational associations. This year, I started a new activity at an international educational organization, which aims at cultivating global personnel."
