Engagement Opportunities

The rise of big data has made clear: For business leaders, data analytics is no longer an area of specialization. It’s a competitive necessity — a powerful tool that must play an integral role in organizations’ systems, capabilities and culture.

Our Program in Data Analytics is committed to supporting business leaders, students and organizations as they embrace these new demands.

Along with providing resources, clubs and partnership opportunities, PDAK is actively involved in the analytics “ecosystem,” where academic and industry leaders convene to exchange ideas, knowledge and best practices.

We welcome new opportunities to engage with you. Here are some ways to partner with us:
    Why companies partner with PDAK

    • We offer expertise in a comprehensive set of data analytics sub-disciplines, including predictive analytics, field experimentation, data visualization, data technologies, and unstructured data analysis and application

    • We are among the first academic institutions to facilitate a cross-organizational approach to analytics

    • We provide access to subject matter expertise and resources through partnerships with Northwestern Institute on Complex Systems (NICO) and the McCormick School of Engineering

Host a Kellogg faculty visit as part of our Faculty Immersion Program

Launched in 2013, the Faculty Immersion Program teams academic and industry leaders to exchange ideas and solve real-world problems.

Kellogg faculty members conduct site visits to companies operating at the forefront of analytics. They meet with the firms’ analytics and data science experts to listen to their triumphs and challenges in working with analytics. They then offer insights and suggestions, sharing any research relevant to the issues at hand.

Past trips have included visits to Facebook in Menlo Park CA, IBM’s Advanced Analytics Lab, in Columbus, Ohio, the City of Chicago’s Department of Information and Technology, Civis Analytics, a Chicago firm created by the analytics team that handled data mining for President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign and others.

We invite you to host a Faculty Immersion Program at your firm. Please contact Joel Shapiro, Executive Director of the Program in Data Analytics, for more information.

Enroll in our Executive Education Program
