As Corporate Vice President of Global Marketing for the Interactive Entertainment Business, Jeff Bell is responsible for worldwide marketing strategies and plans for the Xbox and Games for Windows businesses. His team serves Microsoft Game Studios, the Xbox and Games for Windows platforms and brands, Xbox Live global marketing promotions, and customer relationship management.
Since joining Microsoft in June 2006 from DaimlerChrysler, Bell's team has produced the launch campaigns for Gears of War, Halo 3, Mass Effect and implemented the first global and vertically integrated Xbox marketing campaign, Next Generation Now. Bell brings a mix of consumer experience and innovation to the Interactive Entertainment Business which has led to recognition from Advertising Age as an Entertainment Marketer of the Year in 2007 for work on Gears, and one of Marketing's top 50 for both Halo 3 and Guitar Hero II. At the Chrysler Group, he was largely credited with helping revitalize the Jeep and Chrysler brands. Bell's work in games led to Chrysler being named Interactive Marketer of the Year in 2005 by Advertising Age
Bell graduated from Kenyon College, and holds a master's degree in international economics from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Satjiv S. Chahil is Senior Vice President of Global Marketing for HP's Personal Systems Group. In addition, Chahil is responsible for Hewlett Packard Company's global marketing efforts to small and medium-size businesses.
In a career spanning over 30 years with some of the industry's most innovative brands (IBM, Xerox, Apple, Palm), Chahil has been widely acknowledged as a marketing pioneer and a catalyst for commercializing market defining technologies.
Before joining HP in 2005, Chahil served as Advisor to the Chairman of Palm Inc. As Chief Marketing Officer he was responsible for taking Palm Inc. public, building its' brand cachet and driving the new category of mobile computing.
Prior to Palm, Chahil served on Apple's Executive Management Committee and was responsible for Worldwide Marketing & Corporate Communications. He was also the Founder and General Manager of Apple's Entertainment Industry, New Media and Internet Division.
Chahil and his team drove the adoption of key technologies such as Firewire, CD-ROM and Quicktime, each of which became industry standards for creating and enjoying rich media experiences and helped make Apple a world leader in multimedia with strong ties to the creative communities in the publishing, advertising, film, and music industries.
Previously, Chahil headed up both Apple's European and Pacific marketing organizations. He made headlines by establishing Apple as the first foreign company to become the most preferred brand and the standard of innovation in Japan. His ground-breaking brand associations with the entertainment and automotive industries set new trends in high tech marketing around the world.
In addition to his roles at IBM and Xerox Parc, where he was responsible for commercializing multilingual computing and marketing to large enterprise customers, he served as the Digital Convergence Advisor to the Senior Management of Sony Corporation and helped bring to market the sub-notebook category of VAIO computers. He also served as a Lifestyle and Merchandizing Advisor to BMW HQ.
Chahil earned a master's degree from the American (Thunderbird) Graduate School of International Management in Arizona and a bachelor's degree in commerce from Punjab University in Chandigarh, India.
Since co-founding the Mozilla project in 1998 at Netscape, Mike has been deeply involved in virtually all aspects of Mozilla, from developing software to guiding project policy.
He brings 15 years of open source experience to his work as Chief Evangelist at the Mozilla Corporation, where he leads a team dedicated to making Mozilla understandable and approachable for people all over the world.
Mike lives in Toronto with his wife and cat, when he's not travelling to bring the Mozilla story to a global audience.
