Andrei Jirnyi joined Kellogg in the Summer of 2007 as a Senior Research Associate, working to manage, document and consult on tools in used in statistical and numerical analysis. Andrei is also available to advise doctoral students, particularly in issues related to computational economics and empirical research.

Andrei obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from Northwestern University and an MA in International and Development Economics from Yale University, having earned his undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics from the National Technical Academy of Ukraine (Kiev Polytechnic Institute), Kiev, Ukraine. His primary research areas are Finance and Macroeconomics.
