Meet and Network With Industry Professionals

Take an educational trip to companies in the PE or VC world.

Each year a select set of Kellogg students visit venture capital or private equity firms in Chicago, New York, San Francisco and other cities to get a closer look at the ins and outs of the industry and network with those who are already immersed in it. The treks are all student led and usually last one to two days.

Attending Treks

Each trek will have individual application procedures and eligibility requirements. Once your trek leaders are in place, they will share more details regarding the specific agenda of the company you can expect to visit. After receiving an overview of the trek you’re interested in, you can then decide to attend and submit your commitment and agreement with the trek’s guidelines.

Learn more about treks by visiting the Career Management Center’s Career Treks page.

If you are interested in participating or learning more about career treks, please contact the CMC Career Treks team at Kellogg.

Leading Treks

Students have the unique opportunity to lead a career trek. As a trek leader, you’ll be able to develop and refine your leadership skills while strengthening your relationships with other students, the companies you plan to visit and Kellogg alumni in the private equity or venture capital field.

In order to lead a trek, you’ll need to partner with the Career Management Center (CMC) to fully understand the market trends and recognize the relevant companies. Reach out to the CMC if you’re interested in becoming a trek leader.
