Return to Campus

Health and Wellness

If I am an Evening & Weekend student, do I have access to Northwestern health facilities?

Yes, you have access to the Northwestern’s health facilities, however it is recommended that you check with your healthcare provider prior to make sure that it is in-network.

If you have health-related concerns, please contact Dean Krueger at m-krueger@kellogg.northwestern.edu. Additionally, please utilize Northwestern’s FAQ for more information on health resources.

What are the testing requirements for in person evening and weekend students?

All students, regardless of vaccination status, must complete a COVID-19 test 72 hours prior to coming to Wieboldt Hall for a class or an event. Students must also complete a test 72 hours after being on campus.

Students can either test on campus (the Jacobs Center in Evanston or at 345 East Superior Street in Chicago) and the results will be uploaded to the Northwestern system via Navica.

If you are testing at home, you must upload the results to Origami. Please also write the date that the test was taken on the test before uploading the result.

How will Kellogg prioritize safety?

Our first priority is, and will continue to be, the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff.

Kellogg will follow State of Illinois and CDC guidelines and Northwestern University’s Phased Return to Campus plan, as well as the mandates of local governing authorities.

The protocols and guidelines are only a component of the safety plan. The community including faculty, staff and students must hold each other accountable to prioritize the safety of us all.

Tuition & Fees

What if I need financial aid or more flexibility in paying my tuition?

We understand that these unprecedented times can result in unforeseen financial hardship. The Student Finance Team (studentaccounts-chicago@northwestern.edu) and Financial Aid Team (financial-aid-chicago@northwestern.edu) are available to discuss options with you. Your primary point of contact in Financial Aid is TarKia Aponte at tarkia.aponte@northwestern.edu.

Will I know the modality of a class before I bid (i.e. if a class is hybrid or remote)?

Yes, the modality of the class will be visible during the bidding process.

Will there still be Kellogg Table?

Yes, we are currently considering additional safety and health precautions to deliver a wonderful Kellogg Table experience.

Can I defer my admission if we are ‘non-local’ and now required to be remote?

As we have always done, Kellogg will evaluate deferral requests from admitted students on a case-by-case basis since each situation is unique. Admitted students can submit a request for deferment that will be reviewed by our admissions team.

How do you choose which classes are fully remote versus hybrid?

The modality of the course depends on multiple factors, primarily depending on the preference of the faculty member teaching the course.

How can I help shape the co-curricular experience?

We are always open to your ideas and will do everything we can to support them. Please reach out to the KSA leaders or Megan Krueger to share your ideas.

Is Kellogg contemplating revisions to the Degree Enhancement Program (DEP)?

We have been exploring enhancements to DEP, and based on feedback from our student leaders and alumni, we’re excited to announce a few enhancements, which include:
  • Increasing the number of DEP credits from 6 to 8
  • Eliminating the requirements of one quarter off
  • Extending the DEP period from 2 to 3 years
  • Offering virtual classes during the Summer Quarter
  • Expanding course offerings
Additional details regarding DEP can found in the MBA Policies Manual and the Evening & Weekend Intranet.

Career Management Center

Will the CMC still be available to me when I am not on campus?

Yes, the CMC team will be available virtually. Please schedule an appointment in CMS or email your coach directly.

How is COVID-19 impacting the business landscape?

We encourage students to reference the CMC Library COVID-19 and Business/Industry Impacts Research Guide, which includes information on what business leaders need to know, recommended steps to take, remote work tips and resources, and ways to keep informed with this rapidly evolving situation.

How is the CMC activating the Kellogg alumni network?

The CMC is partnering with Alumni Relations to proactively reach out to alumni through our Hire Kellogg campaign, and alumni are reaching out to us with job opportunities as well. The broader Kellogg network, including Dean Cornelli, is coordinating to activate and support alumni through ongoing communications.

Is Wieboldt Hall still open?

Wieboldt Hall is currently open to students and staff. Students have been granted access to Kellogg facilities with their WildCards at this time.

Updated information on building access will be provided.
