Convocation 2020 –
Kellogg Leaders Return to Campus!

Kellogg is excited to welcome the class of 2020 back for an in-person Convocation in the Kellogg Global Hub. During Reunion Weekend 2022, we will celebrate this class’s achievement with family and friends in Gies Plaza, where we will hear from Kellogg faculty and peers, walk across the stage in remembrance of our time spent at Kellogg, and enjoy a post-ceremony reception.

This ceremony is free to all 2020 graduates and their guests. Attendance at Reunion is not required to attend this event.

3:00pm - Ceremony begins. The ceremony will last about one hour.

How do I register for Convocation?

Class of 2020 graduates can find the Convocation registration link in the invitation issued to them on February 9. Registration is required by March 7.

How many guests can I invite to the Convocation ceremony and the reception?

Due to capacity constraints in the Global Hub, the initial guest offering for all 2020 graduates is 1 guest per graduate for both the ceremony and the reception. After the registration deadline on February 28, we will allow registered graduates to claim any remaining available seats for additional guests.

What are the COVID protocols for Convocation?

Northwestern University and the Kellogg School of Management are closely monitoring developments related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and will follow local, state and University guidelines for Convocation and Reunion Weekend. Most restrictions have been lifted on the Northwestern University campus, and masking is now optional in most University spaces. Showing proof of vaccination such as Symptom Tracker is no longer required at most campus locations and testing is not required of graduates or guests. Please refer to the Northwestern University website on Expectations for Gatherings, Meetings, and Events.

What do I wear to Convocation?

Caps and gowns were distributed free of charge by mail to the class of 2020 in the spring of 2020. During the Convocation registration period, a majority of students reported that they plan to wear their regalia to Convocation. While we encourage students who have held on to their regalia to wear these items to Convocation, it is not a requirement to attend and we are welcoming of all students wearing either regalia or formal attire.

Will Convocation be livestreamed?

A livestream will be available to view on this page. Check this page on the day of the event for a link to view the livestream.

Where can I park for Convocation?

Parking is available at the North Parking Garage (connected to the Henry Crown Sports Pavilion) or in the surface lot next to the Global Hub. Northwestern’s campus is also accessible via the CTA Purple Line Foster or Noyes stops.
