John Strelecky's book, The Why Are You Here Cafè (www.whycafe.com), which was released at the end of 2003, is already in its second printing and has been purchased by readers on five of the seven continents. Enthusiasm is high for No. 6, South America, but Antarctica remains somewhat speculative. John was recently signed by a national seminar company to do a series of presentations and workshops on "Creating and Living Your Perfect Life." Rumor has it that he may be taking his reflections from his past in consulting and designing a special course for fellow consultants called "Creating and Living Any Kind of Life." To reach him, send an email to jstrelecky@whycafe.com.

Kathryn and Armand de Maigret are living in Napa Valley and absolutely love the change in scenery from their previous home in downtown Chicago. Kathryn left her job last year as vice president of marketing for Franciscan Estates (where she worked for five years) and joined her family's business in residential mortgage banking. She opened the Northern California office last year and is making plans to open another branch in Florida to better service the East Coast. Armand is vice president, marketing for Jackson Wine Estates, managing a dozen high-end boutique wineries located in California and Europe. They have two children, Olivia, 2 1/2, and Casimir, 6 months.

Mona Aossey accepted a new position in March as a director of finance with Novartis Corp. She is working in the consumer health division in New Jersey, just outside of NYC, and living in Hoboken, N.J. She writes, "I bought a two-bedroom condo on the river front and have a view of lower Manhattan."

Patty Riskind started a new health-care consulting and data company called 3d Health Inc. in 2002. Patty says: "We serve as business advisors to radiology groups, imaging centers, hospitals and multispecialty group practices. We have also created 3d STAT, www.3dhealthinc.com/3dstat, a powerful patient satisfaction benchmarking tool designed to help imaging centers pinpoint ways to improve patient service and capitalize on market opportunities. View our Web site at www.3dhealthinc.com.

Mike Ressl recently became director of engineering (optical telecom components) for Hitachi Cable America in San Jose, Calif.

Judy (Wu) von Emloh gave birth to her second daughter, Kate Jiaming von Emloh, on Aug. 25 in England. She is still enjoying living in Shanghai.

Carla (Pondel) Sawa and husband Steve welcomed their first child, Ashley Marie, on March 4.

Dan Davidson and wife Melanie welcomed William Mitchell Davidson into the world on Sept. 2. Will joins an older sister, Hannah, 10, and an older brother, Matt, 9.

Finally, my wife Rebecca (TMP 2002) and I recently relocated to Dallas. We are keeping our Bears tickets and therefore avoiding any tearful goodbyes to our Chicago friends.
