Following the awarding of charter status for the Kellogg Club jointly with Northwestern University by President Morty Schapiro, the Singapore Club has been busy, especially during the final quarter of the year.

The holiday season started off with “An Evening with Kellogg” event where Associate Dean Greg Hanifee provided attendees with an update on Kellogg’s exciting plans for transformation and led a brief discussion on Kellogg’s global Executive MBA offerings in Asia.

The next month, Fei Tan ’13 and Shobhit Singhal ’13 hosted a large family-friendly group to celebrate Thanksgiving with an impressive spread of traditional food everyone was missing from the United States. The club’s “Day at Kellogg” event in December, hosted by club advisor Michael Zink ’88 at his Citibank office, was also a great success.

Following a successful NU football viewing party in October to watch the Cats take on Michigan, the united Kellogg/NU club celebrated a second Northwestern Connects networking event with alumni from the Philippines and Malaysia.

Finally, Peter Tan ’83 hosted an admitted student CNY lunch event in late January at the Four Seasons, where visiting Professor Brett Saraniti presented. The Singapore Club was also proud over the past quarter to have alumni Paramesh Rajendra Prasad ’12 lead two teams to the top 5 of the Singapore International Foundation Young Social Entrepreneurs at the end of last year, and Head of Southeast Asia and Singapore Country Officer for Citigroup Michael Zink ’88 appear in an impressive profile story in The New York Times.
