Brenna Argall | The Trust Project

Assistant Professor, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering, Northwestern University McCormick School of Engineering; Assistant Professor, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Feinberg School of Medicine / Robotics

Brenna Argall is Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation Robotics at Northwestern University, affiliated with the Departments of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. She is also a Research Scientist at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, the nation's premier rehabilitation hospital. Her research lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence, rehabilitation robotics and machine learning. A fundamental question that continuously arises throughout many of her lab’s projects is how exactly to share control between the robot and the human user, and how to adapt these control formulations over time as the human changes. Argall is a recipient of the NSF Early Faculty CAREER Award, and was named to Crain’s Chicago Business 40 under 40.
