As artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning push deeper into jobs and tasks that have traditionally been performed by humans, it’s normal to feel vulnerable. For instance, entry-level jobs such as data entry, customer service, and retail associate have routine tasks that are easily performed by machines. But the real question is: How do we ensure that people are still relevant in the technology-driven workplace? Here’s the deal: Instead of trying to compete against machines, we should collaborate with them. The key is to find new ways of interacting with machines by viewing AI as an extension of your own skills. Become proactive, even to the point of enjoying the changes brought about by advanced technology rather than feeling victimized by it. Here are 3 ways on how to do that.
