FINC 915 - Venture Lab

Welcome to the Kellogg Venture Lab website.

Venture Lab is an experiential learning course offering that allows Kellogg students the opportunity to be placed in a quarter-long internship with a local venture capital firm. Participants will be exposed to the day-to-day working life of the fund, and will assist with their deal selection, due diligence and/or investment efforts.

Enrollment in the course is by application only. Students who are selected to the program commit to dedicate one full working day a week (typically Wednesday) to working onsite at the venture firm’s office. Students are expected to dedicate 10-12 hours per week overall to venture fund work. Each participant will meet with Prof. Hochberg on a bi-weekly to update on their assigned task, progress, and feedback. In addition, the Venture Lab will combine with the Buyout Lab to sponsor one to two brown bag lunch talks on topics of relevance (market research, risk management, etc.) during the course of the quarter. Attendance at these talks is mandatory.
