Paul Leinwand is Global Managing Director, Capabilities Driven Strategy and Growth, for Strategy&, PwC's strategy consulting business (previously Booz & Company). As a senior partner for the Firm, he was the leader of the global corporate and business strategy team, and during his tenure also had responsibility for the Firm's marketing and knowledge management teams. He is based in Chicago and advises clients on the topic of strategy, growth and capability development, with a particular focus on the consumer product and retail sectors.
Mr. Leinwand has co-authored three books, Strategy That Works: How Winning Companies Close the Strategy through Execution Gap (Harvard Business Press, 2016), The Essential Advantage: How to Win with a Capabilities-Driven Strategy (Harvard Business Press, 2010) and Cut Costs & Grow Stronger (Harvard Business Press, 2009), as well as many articles in the Harvard Business Review and strategy+business.
Mr. Leinwand had previously worked for Federated Department Stores / Macy’s. He has an MBA with Distinction from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Washington University.
