The Real Estate Advisory Council welcomed three new members this year: Amy Diamond, Scott Peterson and Julie Robinson. We are pleased to have them join our esteemed group of real estate industry leaders.

AMY DIAMOND is the Managing Director, Private Investments and Real Estate Assets, for the Northwestern University Endowment. The Endowment is a $10.8 billion fund, which is
stewarded by the Investments Committee of the University’s Board of Trustees. Guided by the committee’s policies, the University’s Investment Office invests in a widely diversified pool of assets. For the majority of the investments in the Endowment, the Investment Office employs many of the world’s most successful outside managers for public equities, fixed income, absolute return, private equity, and real asset strategies.

SCOTT PETERSON ‘87 was a co-founder of Digital Realty Corp, where he plays an instrumental role in its acquisition strategy, including the most recent major deals that have been transformational both for Digital and for the market at large. At Digital Realty, Peterson was responsible for executing over $17 billion in investments. Prior to helping start the company, Peterson was the managing director of GI Partners, Digital Realty’s predecessor private equity fund. Before that, he spent eight years at GIC Real Estate, the real estate investment entity for the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation.

JULIE ROBINSON ‘09 joined Ventas in 2012 and currently holds the position of Vice President, Investments, where she is responsible for overseeing the underwriting and due diligence of the firm’s new investments. Prior to Ventas, Ms. Robinson led the underwriting, due diligence and negotiation of nearly $1B in debt financing for the seniors housing and skilled nursing industry at GE Capital, Healthcare Financial Services. Ms. Robinson previously worked on GE’s strategic initiatives across a variety of industries, including the acquisition of an energy services company, the IPO of Genworth Financial and auditing complex accounting for derivatives and joint ventures. Early in her career, Ms. Robinson was in the corporate finance group of GE Healthcare’s diagnostic imaging business.
Ms. Robinson received her BS in Finance from Miami University and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
