As the Founder and Managing Director of MacGregor Associates, John Parsons provides corporate strategy, organizational consulting, private placement and capital markets services to institutional real estate organizations including the world’s leading investment managers, public and corporate pension plans, insurance companies, foundations and endowments and international investors.

Mr. Parsons has extensive experience in the field of institutional real estate strategy, and has led numerous advisory engagements for real estate investment managers and investors that are active across the real estate risk spectrum of core, value add and high yield strategies.
Mr. Parsons is an expert in institutional real estate fund product design, marketing, investor account service and reporting as well as large-scale real estate separate account programs.

Mr. Parsons is the co-editor of Real Estate Investment Trusts published by McGraw Hill.

Mr. Parsons was educated at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada where he received his Bachelor of Commerce and M.B.A. degrees.
