Diane Morefield, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Strategic Hotels & Resorts, Inc.

Diane Morefield joined Strategic Hotels & Resorts, Inc., in 2010. As Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, she oversees the company’s accounting, finance, tax, investor relations, and information technology. Ms. Morefield also serves on the Executive Management Committee (EMC), which is in charge of strategic planning, investment activity, and capital allocation.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Morefield served as the Chief Financial Officer of Equity International, a private equity fund that invests in international real estate companies. Previously, she served as Midwest Regional Senior Vice President for Equity Office Properties Trust, once the largest publicly traded office Real Estate Investment Trust and owner of U.S. office buildings, with revenues of approximately $3.3 billion and a total capitalization of approximately $30 billion. Her region included more than 300 employees, a portfolio of 20 million square feet and total revenues of more than $450 million. Ms. Morefield also served as EOP’s Senior Vice President, Investor Relations. Before joining EOP, Ms. Morefield held positions at Barclays Bank, Deloitte and Arthur Andersen & Co.
 
Ms. Morefield, a Certified Public Accountant, earned a Master of Business Administration from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois. She has been a member of The Chicago Network, Leadership Greater Chicago, the Executive Club of Chicago, and CREW Network. She serves on the Board of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and on the Economic Development and Advisory Council for Cook County. Ms. Morefield also is Audit Committee Chair and a member of the Board of Directors of Spirit Realty Capital, a Real Estate Investment Trust that specializes in U.S.-owned and -operated triple-net leased real estate.
